Police determined a man walking through woods near Broadturn Road and Trail’s End on July 19 was not suspicious.
Dangerous driving
A 44-year-old Pennsylvania woman was charged with operating under the influence, driving to endanger and two counts of endangering children after an accident July 19 at Haigis Parkway and Payne Road. Police said she had two children in the car when she allegedly rear-ended a vehicle and failed a field sobriety test with a .29 blood-alcohol level, almost four times the legal limit of .08. There were no reports of injuries in the accident.
StickyFingers SquarePants
Surveillance video identified a 47-year-old South Portland man who allegedly put a laptop computer in his pants and walked out of Wal-Mart on July 19. He was summonsed for theft and violating conditions of release and his 31-year-old female companion was charged with violating conditions of release.
Sharp discovery
Police were called to a Beech Ridge Road home July 20 after the owner found a butcher knife with a 6-inch blade and duct-taped handle by the mailbox.
Start me up
A set of Harley-Davidson keys found July 20 on King Street could not be traced to the owner. The keys are now at police headquarters.
Appearing flushed
A Robinson Road resident asked police to check the bathroom July 21 after reporting a cable installer had spent 10 to 15 minutes inside with the water running. Nothing was discovered missing.
Get a hobby
Police arrested a 17-year-old juvenile July 21 for allegedly throwing mailboxes and rocks into the middle of Pine Point Road at around 11:45 p.m. He was charged with reckless conduct, criminal mischief, obstructing a public way and consuming alcohol.
Not fooled
On July 22, a 21-year-old Buxton man who pulled into a driveway off Broadturn Road after allegedly speeding and driving erratically was charged with operating after suspension, violating conditions of release and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they suspected he had no business pulling into the driveway as they knew who owns the home.
