Good start

Police contacted the owner of a set of car keys found July 26 and the keys were picked up.

 

Bad move

Police believe juveniles allegedly spray painted obscenities and crude drawings on skateboard ramps at Municipal Park on July 26.

 

On the run

Police responding to a call about a suspicious vehicle July 27 at Broadturn and County roads learned it belonged to a jogger.

 

Not from these parts

A boy from Cape Elizabeth, two boys from outside Maine and an 18-year-old man from Connecticut were summonsed for possessing alcohol July 27 after being observed drinking on Higgins Beach.

 

She’s out back

Several people seen sitting in a barn on Ash Swamp Road July 27 told police they were visiting a grandmother and had permission to be on the property.

 

Ewww

Police could not find the owner of a pickup truck July 28 who allegedly asked employees at Mainely Tubs on Payne Road for 20 gallons of water to flush the toilet in the camper the truck was towing.

 

Traveling man

An off-duty Scarborough police officer reported a suspicious pickup truck pulled into his driveway July 28. The truck was driven by a man who offered paving services.

 

Missing the point

A driver who said he was operating a GPS system was warned July 31 for erratic operation. Police said the driver was seen weaving in traffic from Route 1 and Pine Point Road to Haigis Parkway, where he was stopped.

 

Coming your way

Police were unable to locate a man thought be to intoxicated outside Countryside Butchers around 1 p.m. on July 31. Officers in Westbrook and Gorham were warned the man might be driving toward those towns.
