Two bicyclists seen riding on the wrong side and in the middle of Gorham Road around 1 a.m. July 12 were told by police to adhere to traffic rules.
Pedal power II
A 30-year-old Westbrook man was charged with theft July 12 after he allegedly stole a motorized bicycle near Route 1 and Commercial Drive. The man was detained near Scarborough High School by a witness to the alleged theft and a town employee until police arrived.
Needed convincing
A customer who appeared to be unhappy with a repair bill at Pleasant Hill Auto Body July 12 agreed to pay the bill after police arrived.
Every tent needs one
An 18-year-old Parsonsfield man was summonsed July 12 for allegedly stealing $20 of camping flatware from Cabela’s.
Just crickets
Police responding to a July 13 complaint about a loud party on Thomas Drive at 1:52 a.m. heard no loud noises and saw no parked cars in the area. Local houses were dark as well.
Up in smoke
Police confiscated a marijuana pipe July 13 from a driver at Gorham and Mussey roads. The driver received a warning, and no drugs were found during the search.
Bright idea
A 22-year-old Portland man was summonsed for theft July 14 at Wal-Mart. While he paid for a package of lightbulbs, he allegedly stole bicycle riding gloves and computer software.
Goodbye
Police said a father and daughter allegedly upset over her termination from the Family Dollar Store on Gorham Road were served trespass notices July 14 and told not to return to the store.
Happy return
A wallet left on the counter at the Irving Station on Route 1 at around 1:15 a.m. on July 17 was returned to its owner.
