Employees at Dairy Corner on Route 1 reported a portion of a garden hose and some exterior sign letters missing May 10.
A real blowout
A driver complained to police May 10 after seeing a vehicle repeatedly strike curbs while driving from South Portland to a home on Spring Street. Police discovered a car at the home with two flat tires on the passenger side.
Mixed signals
A 43-year-old Gorham man was summonsed May 12 for passing a stopped school bus at Ash Swamp and Broadturn roads. Police said the driver told them he saw the flashing lights but thought the driver had signaled him to keep going.
Suburban crime?
Police are looking for two males who may have loaded a 1983 Chevy Suburban onto a trailer May 14 and taken it from a home on Beech Ridge Road.
Good riddance
A “rude and disorderly” male customer at Dunkin’ Donuts on Route 1 was told to leave May 14 and not return for a year.
Freewheeling escape
A 66-year-old Portland woman was stopped by police May 14 while riding a motor scooter on Maine Mall Road and carrying four rolls of speaker wire allegedly stolen from Wal-Mart. Police said she was told to stop three times and summonsed for theft.
Customer service
Police warned a man driving a van carrying several door-to-door salesmen to get a proper sales license after a May 15 complaint about a “rude and pushy” magazine sales representative on Winnock’s Neck Road.
