Scarborough police continue to search for a man wanted for domestic violence stalking.

Police last week asked the public for help locating Michael Young, 25, who may have last lived in Portland and has ties in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Sgt. Rick Rouse said a warrant has been issued for Young.

Police say Young is 6 feet tall and weighs 170 pounds, has brown hair, hazel eyes, wears glasses and has several tattoos and piercings. The piercings include two on his left ear.

Rouse said Young has threatened an ex-girlfriend living in the area with text messages and on his page at a social networking site.

Police said in a press release Young poses a “significant threat” to his ex-girlfriend and should be considered armed and dangerous. Those with information about Young’s whereabouts are asked to call their local police department on 911.
