A man cutting his lawn on Cannon Lane April 26 found a cell phone later determined to be stolen from a vehicle on Nutter Way.
Waiting on a friend
Police responding to a call about a suspicious person at Royal Ridge Church on April 26 found someone waiting for a friend who was “dropping off some items.”
Economy class
A man seen walking and carrying a suitcase along Route 1 near Classic Floors on April 27 told police he was walking back to Florida.
Not that easy
Pharmacists at Sam’s Club told police they received a call April 27 from an alleged doctor asking them to fill a prescription for someone coming in. The caller hung up after being asked for an ID number.
In the way
A 40-year-old woman who swerved in front of a police car responding to an emergency call April 28 on Gorham Road was summonsed for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle.
Hi-yo Silver!
Police were unable to find a silver car reportedly swerving “all over the road” on I-295 on April 30 at about 12:40 p.m. They checked the road and the address where the vehicle was registered.
That’s not Geritol
Police responding to a complaint about a driver at the Super Wal-Mart at 12:41 p.m. on May 1 found a 79-year-old man sitting in a car with a flat tire. He was arrested for operating under the influence and operating under suspension and had an alleged blood alcohol level of .23. Police said he has two prior OUI convictions.
Peaceful stays
Police made three arrests last week at the Downeaster Motel on Route 1. On April 30, a 45-year-old woman was arrested for disorderly conduct. On May 2, a 24-year-old woman was arrested on assault charges and three outstanding warrants and a 31-year-old man was arrested for assault and violating the conditions of his release as the result of a confrontation just after 10 p.m.
