Police Notes (Printed April 30, 2010)
Police report at least seven unlocked vehicles were burglarized on or about April 19, many in the Coach Lantern Road area. Victims reported GPS devices, iPods and a EZ-Pass were stolen.
Sneaky
Police investigating a car left on Pine Point Road on April 21 with its driver side door open learned a child had opened the door before walking with his mother on Eastern Trail.
Not missed
Someone walking behind America’s Mattress on Payne Road discovered a safe on April 21. The safe had been broken into and was traced to owners in Portland who were unaware it was missing.
Catch and follow
A 40-year-old man had a .36 blood alcohol content April 21 when arrested for operating under the influence. He has a prior OUI conviction, and had been followed from Portland along I-295 to Winnock’s Neck Road by a driver who called police.
We’re jammin’
A person at It’s a Good Motel on Route 1 agreed to turn down music after a complaint to police on April 22 at around 12:50 in the afternoon.
