Meteor storm?

The roof of a truck parked in the lot at Sam’s Club on Payne Road was reported as damaged last week.  Employees told officers March 15 that video surveillance footage did not show anyone damaging the roof the truck.

 

On a spree

Purses, cameras, credit and debit cards, cash and loose change were reported missing from vehicles at Scarborough Middle School, Hannaford Bros. and Dr. Daniel Ravin’s dental practice near Gorham Road during three calls in 25 minutes on March 16.

 

Ouch

The driver of a vehicle that struck a bicyclist on the elbow March 17 at Ocean Avenue and Kelly Lane in Higgins Beach was very apologetic. The rider decided not to press charges and the driver was warned about driving too close.

 

Rogue rider

Police were called to Town Hall March 17 after it was reported someone trying to pay excise tax on an ATV may have lied about purchase information. The matter was straightened out with a call to the dealership.

 

Soft rock

A rock found tossed through a window at Cummings Northeast on Gibson Road on March 18 broke one of two panes in the window.

 

Men at work

A vehicle reported as suspicious March 19 at Eastern Road and Serenity Drive was being used by roofers working in the area.

 

Hang up

Police who stopped a car on March 19 on the I-295 connector after complaints of erratic driving on Holmes Road found the driver to be sober. The driver did admit to having a phone conversation while it was reported the car crossed the centerline several times and failed to stop at a red light.

 

Acquired skill?

A 17-year-old juvenile arrested for stealing a knife at Wal-Mart on March 21 was allegedly involved in a similar theft at Cabela’s earlier this month. His 19-year-old companion was arrested for stealing DVDs.

 

Fessing up

A girl told police she had been doing doughnuts with her car in the parking lot at Scarborough Downs on March 15. Police were given her license plate and the girl has been told to stay away from the racetrack.
