An 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man from Jay face theft charges for allegedly stealing DVDs from Wal-Mart March 22. Among the DVDs taken was a copy of “Twilight – New Moon.”

A woman found sleeping in her car behind the Blue Point Church on Pine Point Road March 23 told police she had gotten tired after running some errands.
Lure of crime
A 17-year-old male was charged with theft for allegedly stealing a fishing reel valued at $100 from Cabela’s on March 23.
Furious and fast
A man police said was driving at about 100 mph near Len Libby Chocolates on Route 1 March 25 was found to have a tube sock filled with connected padlocks when he approached Dunstan School Restaurant at 8:14 p.m. He was charged with carrying a concealed weapon after telling police the sock was for “anyone who tries to mess with (me).”
Long cold walk
A woman who could not afford cab fare from Portland was given a ride from Gorham and Mussey roads to her County Road home by police March 26.
Graceful exit
Police were called to Wal-Mart on March 26 after a terminated employee began swearing at a store manager. The former employee was told to leave and not return.
Sharp comments
A man who allegedly threatened employees at Hoglund’s Countryside Butchers on County Road March 27 was told by police to leave and not return.
