Rock on
Employees
concerned about an attempted burglary March 8 at Chowderheads Restaurant on
Gorham Road called police after a large rock was found near the front window.
There was no evidence of a burglary.
Pick ’em up
Car
keys found on Black Point Road on March 8 can be picked up at the police
station.
Lacking direction
A
40-year-old man was charged with theft and a 36-year-old man was charged with
violating his conditions of release outside Cabela’s on March 8 after they
allegedly stole four GPS units worth $800 and a jacket worth $100.
Needing direction
A
truck driver reportedly swerving between lanes, speeding up and slowing down on
the Maine Turnpike told police he was lost when stopped March 9 at Haigis
Parkway and Payne Road.
What not to wear
Police
were unable to locate two middle-aged men allegedly “dressed like teenagers”
walking their dogs down the middle of Powderhorn Drive on March 10. The men
were reportedly rude to passing drivers.
Making the rounds
A
20-year-old woman who allegedly tried to cash checks at a Bank of America in
the Portland area March 10 was arrested at the Gorham Road branch, charged with
theft, forgery and misuse of ID.
Around here somewhere
Pedestrians
reported as suspicious on March 12 on Broadturn Road told police they had come
from a party. Police did not determine the location of the party.
No clue
A
14-year-old juvenile was charged with theft and operating without a license on
Black Point Road March 14 after police stopped her in a car reported stolen in
Sanford. Her 21-year-old companion told police she did not know the car was
stolen.
