To the editor:

I support of the candidacy for Amy Volk for State House of Representatives, District 127. Scarborough needs a voice that speaks for families and their values. As a mother of four and a small business owner, Amy Volk clearly knows all the pressures that come to bear on raising a family in these difficult times.

There is a lot to be said for having the experience of raising a family, running a business and balancing the two.

She also has given time to her community by volunteering in schools, substitute teaching, and bringing YoungLife to our town. Life experience matters and acts as a guide to sound decision-making.

Amy Volk possesses the perspective that can only come with maturity. I would recommend her highly as our representative in the Maine House. She is a woman who can bring some common sense to Augusta.
