To the editor:

At least we have one town councilor who understands that it is time to make New England Expedition stand on its own two feet, and sink or swim on its own (in)competence.

Karen D’Andrea is not alone in “holding her nose,” as she said at the March 3 meeting when considering the incessant requests for changes coming from this company.

New England Expedition will undoubtedly be back before the council in the future with more requests (as noted by some of the other councilors present at the meeting).

I hope the council will apply some higher standards when considering variance and change requests from corporations. Or, as hard working, taxpaying citizens, we could all request a break on our property taxes in these “tough economic times.”
