people on Pleasant Hill Road reported as suspicious to Scarborough police early
Feb. 8 turned out to be an office cleaner using a dumpster and someone walking
home from work near Lifestyle Fitness Center.

A Feb. 8
complaint about an erratic driver led police to stop a woman near Payne and
Gorham roads. The driver said she was not aware she had almost hit the
complainant three times and denied trying to pass a utility truck in a traffic
circle in Gorham. She was warned about unsafe driving and for having no vehicle
registration.

seen loitering near the mailbox at Len Libby Chocolates on Route 1 on Feb. 11
was asked to move along.

36-year-old man was arrested and charged with theft, drug possession and violating
probation Feb. 8 after allegedly stealing bottles of Hennessy cognac and Grey
Goose vodka from the Oak Hill Mobil Station on Route 1.

18-year-old employee of Cabela’s was summonsed Feb. 9 for theft of more than
$500 and less than $1,000 for allegedly switching price tags on items and then
buying them.

were unable to find a man reportedly laying against a tree on Payne Road near
Ashley Drive on Feb. 10.

A
40-year-old man stopped Feb. 13 in the parking lot at Lifestyle Fitness Center
on Pleasant Hill Road for a failed brake light was charged with drug
trafficking, operating after suspension, furnishing drugs and the use or sale
of drug paraphernalia. Police said they found more than 4 ounces of marijuana,
1.5 ounces of cocaine, small baggies and possibly a ledger book in the vehicle.
