Police Notes (Printed Feb. 12, 2010)
Not cool
A criminal trespass notice may be filed against a member of Lifestyle Fitness Center after police responded to a complaint he was harassing female employees at the club on Feb. 2.
McFlying
Police were unable to locate a “red DeLorean-type vehicle” that nearly hit a pedestrian on Route 1 before turning onto Black Point Road Feb. 3.
That smell
A 26-year-old man was arrested for operating under the influence on Black Point Road after he was found outside a vehicle Feb. 3. Police said they smelled “the odor of intoxicants” and the man told police he had been driving.
Good choices
Police were unable to locate a blue SUV seen weaving and crossing the center line near Route 1 and Haigis Parkway. The person filing the complaint said he thought the driver “was half-asleep or stoned.”
Rumble on
A traffic stop Feb. 4 for a loud exhaust system on Route 1 led to the arrest of a 39-year-old man for attaching false license plates and possession of marijuana.
Not taken lightly
Police filed two warnings Feb. 5 to drivers on Gallery Drive. The driver who complained about bright lights coming from the rear of an SUV was warned for following too closely while the SUV driver was warned for improper use of backup lights.
Further on
Police checking a Feb. 6 report of a pickup truck parked on a lawn on Gorham Road found the truck three-quarters of a mile away. A 25-year-old male was arrested for violating conditions of probation, criminal mischief and failure to provide a correct name. Police considered him “extremely intoxicated,” but could not determine if he had driven the truck from where it was originally seen.
