Hard at work
Police responding to a call Dec. 28 about a suspicious person at It’s a Good Motel on Route 1 discovered a woman in a parked car working on a laptop computer. The woman said she was a guest at the motel.

Good deed
A purse was found Dec. 28 near Route 1 and Haigis Parkway and turned in by a truck driver at the Exit 42 tollbooth. Police notified the owner of the purse.

Stepping lightly
Police could not find a man suspected of casing the Five County Credit Union on Gallery Boulevard Dec. 29 after he twice walked quickly by the windows. Video footage is being reviewed in an attempt to identify the man.

Clean getaway
A 41-year-old woman was charged with two counts of criminal mischief and one count of operating under the influence Dec. 30 after hitting a truck and a car with her vehicle. She was arrested after also hitting a telephone pole.

Over easy
Two company vehicles outside the NAPA auto parts store on Payne Road were egged on Dec. 30. They appeared to be undamaged otherwise.

Big haul
Sunglasses, an inactive cell phone and loose change were reported missing from a vehicle on King Street after a Dec. 30 burglary.

Celebration interrupted
One man was charged with possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia and another with possessing drug paraphernalia after police stopped their vehicle on Pleasant Hill Road for a failed headlight on Dec. 31. The officer reported smelling marijuana as he approached the car. Both men are 23 years old.

I’ll make it
Police responding to a call Dec. 31 about a suspicious person near the Nature Center on Pine Point Road found a woman walking near Scarborough Marsh who said she did not need a ride home.

Sign of the season
Reports of gunshots near Payne and Two Rod roads on Jan. 1 are believed to have been fireworks. Police heard no other activity in the area.

Easy to find
A call Jan. 1 about a car in a ditch on Salt Marsh Circle led to operating under the influence and violation of bail condition charges against a 31-year-old male.

Camouflaged?
Police were unable to find a white SUV that allegedly ran a red light at Hannaford Drive and Route 1 before hitting a snow bank near Pat’s Pizza on Jan. 3.
