Thanks for calling
Police were notified about possible fraudulent charges on Dec. 7 after a customer at Town and Country Federal Credit Union told credit union officials she did not make $720 in charges on a credit or debit card at several New Hampshire stores.

Happy return I
A debit card found at the Post Office on Gorham Road on Dec. 7 was returned to its owner.

‘Tis not the season
Police were unable to find the driver of a vehicle who allegedly tried to cause a rear end collision and then force another vehicle off the road near Scarborough Gallery on Dec. 8.

Out for a drag
A sled that can be attached to a snowmobile was reported stolen from a yard on Sawyer Road on Dec. 10.

Happy return II
An employee of Maine Medical Center on Campus Drive found a purse on Dec. 10 and returned it to its owner.

Hard to swallow
Police are investigating prescription fraud at Super Wal-Mart after three prescriptions for painkillers were phoned in, then purchased with cash. Police were alerted after a fourth call to fill the prescription on Dec. 10.

No call for that
A cell phone worth $300 was reported stolen from the ATT Wireless store on Payne Road on Dec. 10.

Antique Roadshow?
Police took no action on a complaint of a suspicious vehicle on Tibbetts Road on Dec. 11 but did discover a vehicle with a “very old snowmobile” on the roof.

Blade runner
Police were unable to locate the driver of a pickup truck with a plow allegedly operating erratically, opening the door  and holding up traffic while driving along Gorham Road towards Route 1 on Dec. 12.
