I am writing about Pine Point and asking the town council to reconsider its vote of July 15 on the land swap. As I’ve followed this issue there appears to be overwhelming support for taking the time required to make this decision with all necessary information. 

The public hearing I watched made me proud of my fellow citizens who had the courage to speak in public and who spoke so well.

There is agreement that a solution is needed. We all have heard, however, this is a very historical piece of land and we should be more anxious to preserve and protect it.

Perhaps it would be better if the town council would take more time in its deliberations before making a final decision.
