Letter: Group should focus on other issues (July 10, 2009)

Editor:

Read between the lines of the letters written by members of the Pine Point Residents Association (a Lighthouse Motel opposition group) and it becomes clear that any exchange must benefit the town and maintain the ad hoc status quo of Depot Street, while punishing the Lighthouse Motel owners and making it prohibitive for them to improve their property.

This group should focus on the real issues in Pine Point, like: traffic volume, speeding, no sidewalks, speeding, lax enforcement of traffic laws and town ordinances, speeding, and a public works department that destroys endangered bird habitat every Friday morning.
