Track and field places second 


The Scarborough Red Storm girls’ track and field team placed second of 15 teams in the Scarborough Relays last Saturday.

Scarborough placed first in the 800-meter spring medley, the 4 by 100-meter relay and the 4 by 200-meter relay.

The Red Storm’s next meet is scheduled for 3:45 p.m. Tuesday against Westbrook, Windham and Gorham high schools.


Girls’ lacrosse downs Marshwood


Lindsay Hagerman led Scarborough with four goals and four assists as the Red Storm girls’ lacrosse team defeated Marshwood 15-3 on Monday. Ellie Morin, Laura Przybylowicz and Erin McElwain also contributed with two goals apiece.

The Red Storm’s next game is scheduled against Falmouth High School at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in Scarborough.

Amato’s 12, Community Builders 7


Pitcher Danny Plumber recorded 13 strikeouts in five innings of work as Amato’s defeated Community Builders 12-7 last Saturday.

Megan Murrell led Amato’s offensively with a home run and a triple.


Volk Packaging 8, Jones & Warren 7


Olivia Gehrke pitched her first career win as Volk Packaging beat Jones & Warren 8-7. 

Sophia Burnham of Jones & Warren pitched four innings without giving up a hit and struck out nine hitters.
