Letter: An honor to work with Pendleton (Oct. 3, 2008)
Editor:
It has been an honor to serve with Rep. Peggy Pendleton over the last two years in the Maine State House of Representatives.
Peggy has proven herself to be a dedicated and committed legislator who puts the interests of her constituents in Scarborough first. As someone who has been on the opposite side of an issue from Peggy, I can tell you that she fights for what she believes in.
Peggy Pendleton led the charge to ensure that the state’s government watchdog agency, known as OPEGA, remained fully staffed and had the resources it needs to ensure that taxpayer funds are spent efficiently and wisely. Peggy knows that government accountability is very important.
Peggy Pendleton is an independent thinker and not afraid to speak up for what she thinks is right. I would urge the voters of House District 128 to re-elect Peggy Pendleton.
Glenn Cummings
Speaker of the House
