 Did anyone put forth the “Scarborough Marshals” for consideration? It would seem ideal… strong, yet inoffensive (re: race, creed, sex, etc.), an easy logo (a star-like badge) for the cheerleaders/boosters to work with, and high-lights one of the natural resources Scarborough is best known for.
