Letter: Thanks for WOW support (July 3, 2008)

Editor:
What’s a volunteer? A person who chooses freely to do something! And, that’s what the volunteers of the Scarborough Senior WOW Program have done.
The activities committee of the Scarborough Senior WOW Program, under the direction of Senior Coordinator Terri Hatt, had a busy and very successful season. This could not have been done without the creative volunteers “stepping up to the plate.”
Past programs have been varied such as Scarborough artist Matty York, psychotherapist Alison Eades; art instructions with Spiral Arts; the Scarborough High School choral group; the “Marden’s Lady” and more. All planned by volunteers!  The volunteers not only plan programs, but participate which is true of Jane Everett and Ellen Bridgham who will present a play at our July 23 luncheon at Hillcrest Community Center.
WOW volunteers will participate in the 350th Scarborough celebration parade, and will have a booth on the grounds – drop by and ask about volunteering.
As chairman of the WOW Activities Committee thank you volunteers for making this a great Senior program.
 Nancy E. Libby, chairman
WOW Activities Committee
