On Saturday, April 3 the Key Club and Kiwanis collected a tremendous amount of food from the generous people of Scarborough. The Key Club members have helped us in the past and again, we are extremely grateful for their time, energy, and collected food. These young men and women do a super job! We greatly appreciate the Kiwanis member for their selecting our Cupboard.
The Food Cupboard is located in South Portland, in the basement of St. John the Evangelist Church on Route 1. Our mission is to share food with those in need, regardless of what city or town they come from. Hunger has no home.
We are an all-volunteer, ecumenical, non-profit organization, utilizing Federal income guidelines to assess eligibility. We share a week’s worth of food with every member of the family, once a month. We are open every Thursday morning from 9-12 noon. We rely totally on monetary and food donations and currently are sharing food with over 100 men women, and children a week. FMI 874-0379.
