LASERJET LISCENSE
Police arrested a man for displaying an illegal registration sticker he printed on a personal computer. In addition to the illegal registration, which the man attempted to destroy when officers pulled him over, the vehicle displayed incorrect plates and inspection stickers.
SEZIURES
Police responded to an accident on Route 1 when a woman’s vehicle went off the road and into the Scarborough Marsh. The woman is prone to seizures, which she said caused the accident, and has a history of medical complications.
GREAT MILEAGE
Police filed a report of 85 gallons of diesel fuel that was stolen from a gas station.
SCHOOL’S OUT
Police filed a report of trespass when the high school reported a student who was suspended returned to the school grounds. Police returned to the school when the student was found on the property again the following day, apparently confused about the duration of the suspension.
LIGHTEN UP
Police filed a report of a five-foot-long yellow and red light bar being stolen off the top of a service truck. The light is valued at $1,500.
NORTHERN HOSPITALITY
Police arrested a 17-year-old boy when he was caught attempting to steal a $19 bottle of Southern Comfort from a local supermarket.
STRIKE 21
Police issued a summons when they pulled over a driver on Route 1 for driving with a suspended license. The driver, who has 16 active suspensions and four previous convictions for unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, will face felony charges.
BURGLARY
Police filed a report of a house being broken into overnight, during which a dog dish, plant and keychain were stolen. A vehicle in the driveway also had all of its windows smashed, totaling $16,000 in stolen property and damages.
