Police Notes for Feb. 8, 2008
DO NOT DISTURB
Police responded to a call from the owner of a Route 1 motel when he reported a tenant was threatening to kill him from inside his room.
LOST AND NOT FOUND
Police recovered a large key ring at the corner of Pinewood circle and Black Point road. The owner has not been located.
DRIVE THROUGH DRUGS
Police responded to a complaint that there was a small amount of marijuana in an employee only section of a McDonald’s restaurant. The manager of the store told police he had an idea who left the marijuana at the drive through window and would keep an eye out.
ANGER MANAGEMENT
Police issued a summons to a 14-year-old boy after he stabbed a 17-year-old boy in the thigh with a pen and threatened to stab him in the neck. The 17-year-old had asked to use the other boy’s cell phone.
DIVOT DO IT
Police filed a report of a 10 year old boy showing a knife to classmates on the bus ride home from school. What officers originally thought was a Swiss army knife was later identified as a “golfing tool.”
DRUG EVIDENCE
Police arrested a woman for violating her bail and possession of a scheduled drug when they pulled her over on Route 1 for erratic driving. The drug charges were based on a cocaine residue police discovered in the car.
WHERE’S THE DOG WHISPERER?
A report was filed after a jogger complained he was chased by four pit bull dogs. The jogger traded insults with the dog owner after being chased. The owner of the dogs attempted to stop the animals but called the police when he felt threatened by the two dogs.
SUICIDAL TENDANCIES
Police responded to a late night call that there was a man jumping into Route 1 traffic in front of the Little Dolphin Marketplace. The man was standing in the middle of the roadway with a knife when police arrived, and he pleaded with the officers to shoot him. Officers used a stun gun on the man and admitted him to Maine Medical for evaluation.
BOOSTED BRA
Officers released a 17-year-old girl to her father’s custody after she was caught stealing a woman’s undergarment from Wal-Mart.
CANINES QUARANTINED
Two dogs were placed under quarantine after they bit a man on the hand and scratched his son. The father and son were attempting to break up a fight between the dogs and their cat. Police said the quarantine is to ensure that neither of the animals are rabid.
